Description:

Built in 1835, the Battle Friedman House and Gardens contains 18-inch thick brick walls and features elaborate architecture and period furnishings, offering visitors a glimpse back to the grandeur of the mid-19th century. Originally the home, along with its outbuildings and gardens, took up an entire city block and the area is now open for tours. The home is located in the downtown area of Tuscaloosa, not far from the University of Alabama.

Hours of Operation:

Open Tue. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Closed Sun. - Mon.

Adults $5; Children under 12 are free.
